Join us at this intimate show by blues and roots sensation Busby Marou to raise much needed funds for the Full Stop Foundation. Taking place on Thursday November 23rd in support of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, the concert hopes to raise around $20,000 to support the vital work the Full Stop Foundation does to reduce and ultimately eliminate sexual assault and domestic violence.

Thanks to Donaldson Law for their fabulous support in putting on this fantastic show.

Busby Marou co-band member, Tom Busby says the Full Stop Foundation works for a cause that he feels very connected to.

“As a father of two young daughters, I want my girls to grow up in a world where sexual violence and family violence is absolutely not tolerated.

“I think it’s important for Australian men to stand together against this huge social problem.

“Women have long been united behind this issue and I believe that it’s us blokes that are one of the key pieces that is missing in this very complex puzzle.”

Co-band mate, Jeremy Marou agrees.

“Tom and I don’t pretend to be experts on these issues but we are both passionately against family violence and sexual assault in all circumstances.

“We want people to join us for the concert, enjoy themselves and stand alongside us in supporting this wonderful organisation.”

Ambassador for the Full Stop Foundation and Director of Donaldson Law; Adair Donaldson, says the high-profile support from Busby Marou is a huge boost.

“Tom is absolutely right in what he says about men being a key piece in solving this puzzle.

“Australian men need to stop turning a blind eye to their mate’s bad behaviour. They need to stop playing the blame game against victims and to collectively say that men in this country won’t tolerate this conduct any longer.

“One in every three Australian women has experienced physical and or sexual violence by someone known to them.

“Clearly we have a huge problem and an enormous cultural shift is needed right across society. To have cool and influential young men like Jeremy and Tom prepared to stand up and say, ‘Full stop.’ Well, I admire them both greatly.”

Busby Marou’s Full Stop Foundation concert will take place at The Basement in Sydney on Thursday 23rd November, 2017 at 7:00pm.
